It's been so long since I logged in here that I've actually nearly forgotten my password. Now, I suppose that I should give a quick update since I haven't spoken in this for quite a while. I'm on a comic project that has been both keeping me busy and making me frustrated with the lack of time that I have to spend on it. Most of my free time is spent with cleaning and there are guests over at my apartment a lot. It's very frustrating, but at the same time I'm not sure how much faith I have in this project. The entire thing is grinding down to something highly unorganized without much polish. I haven't seen the actual print yet, though I've got it on order. I'll give my opinion on that when I get it, but there is one person trying to create their own comic, do printing, manage the forum and update the website.

Needless to say, a lot of those things don't get done to the sort of polish that would attract me as a customer. There definitely needs to be someone dedicated to that site, but none of the other artists on the project have the time or knowledge to create a nice, snappy site. So far, I'm sure that they're using WYSIWYG programs to create the code for the pages and even I know that just using that won't cut it in the long run.

I can't talk TOO much, since there's so much that I need to get done... but... it still sort of worries me. Putting my little pet characters in that comic. I'll definitely have to fine comb over the contract when I get it.

However, on to sketches and such. I've mainly been doing character designs. I had to switch comics twice, as well. Needless to say, I'm behind. I love designing characters though.

And I need to draw space elves soon, too.

I luff them all, I think. Ariana came out more sassy than I originally designed her once upon a time. But sass makes more sense against Kulkis than someone really nice.
I like Joslen much better now that he looks like a prick who doesn't give a crap.
fallingpheonix thinks that Ki'dra looks like a ho, though. Nah. I like her staff, though. Elatana is a cool weapon.

I should update this more often. I want to spend more time finishing and less time sketching though. Next up for the coloration treatement and a firm devArt upload?

Ghost Ships

I'm always amused when people refer to their favorite pairings as 'ships'.

Oh, how I remember the days. AOL. My first computer. And the discovery of chat rooms. I remember RPing Xelloss, and spiking people who tried to use healing holy magic on me out of kindness through the face. I remember those poor Buffy saps trying to strike me with swords and wondering why I wouldn't die. Oh yeah. I was the hax to those fools.

Anyway. That's how I came to like these two so much. Mazoku don't have hearts, though it's implied that the higher level ones can feel some forms of emotion- it's just that after a few hundred years nothing seems to stimulate them anymore. At least that's how one of the rumors go. Makes sense enough considering that a lot of them seem so animated, but still. So. Those two were on the basis of loyalty instead of some deeper more destructive emotions, and it was set during the Kouma war- which involved lots of slaughter!

I still don't know why I was such a popular Xelloss RPer. Still. It was funny when people were trying to bribe me into doing it with them. But they sucked so bad!

Enough of that nostalgia. Sherra's legs... I seem to have some problems with legs and the way that they attach at the ass. Next few model sessions I should concentrate on that. Of course, stylized like this I wouldn't be going on much realism anyway. Dems some misshapen legs dar. Har har.

How is it that I can draw so much useless stuff in between the comic work when I have no time, but on a normal day I would sit around half the time and get nothing done? It's something... something... psychological- I'm sure!! And now I'm tired. *whinewhine*

I'm going to do this now considering tomorrow I'll be dead tired by the time I saunter in home and won't be able to post. Look at me. So proactive. I hurt myself with this sudden amount of amazing.

I'm still trugging slowly on the comic project. Feedback at this stage would be highly appreciated, but not expected. I seem to have lost my online visibility on all accounts. Life happens like that.

I'll admit this fully, right from the beginning. This design isn't something brand new, exactly. It's something more than came about back when I was playing with Kouma War designs for a doujinshi that would have Sherra in it. The design was sort of an accident while trying to draw something that didn't come out looking like Sherra much at all. Give her two swords, a cool coat, and have her sell her brother's life for the power of speed and poof. I finally have a relatively bad guy type character.

Watch out, she bites. And would probably stab you in the foot if you got her order of hot chocolate wrong, but other than that she'll leave you mostly alone unless you get in her way, or come across her in a dark alley at night. Red is her favorite color. Oh noez!

Speaking of Sherra. I need to finish this picture. It should have righteous fire of burning humans in it! Gotta love Dulgofar and his ability to turn useless peasants into fire breathing low class demons. Mmmhmm. Smells like chicken.

Even though I know that no one is actually reading these things, it's time for another sketch update. What do you know. Pointless, yes, but motivational! At least for now.

As I said before!

He's like the big mazoku bowl of purple jello. There's always room for more! Unfortunately circumstances as of late have forced me to remember the love. Sorry about that!

Already jumping on the band wagon, I've already had a friend of mine online blackmail me into making highly inappropriate art of him. I know I can't wait!

My style as of now is getting a bit more realistic in places. Not that I mind, but it might make my life more complicated later, as this takes a lot longer, you know! But I've always wanted to draw a picture of Xelloss in a style like this! And, by always I mean that I sat down to draw one day and this is what came out of my pencil. There's more to it, but then you would know what's inappropriate about it, wouldn't you!

Let's just say that it doesn't fit the world, yo. Blackmail is a bitch.

Quick! Someone remind me later to do something with this! Alway liked this sketch, though the hair needs to be shortened. After reading the novels I suddenly want to draw Xelloss with black hair. I think that would look cooler anyway. Yosh!

Second warning! This will probably inspire me to bring back pictures of Sherra. For those who doesn't know who she is, tough shit. You'll at least get aquainted with what she looks like.

Blue Nipples

I like at the subject and it makes me think of blue balls. I don't know why! I actually did this sketch a few weeks ago, but don't be surprised to find a few 'class' related art works end up here, since most of these really sketchy things aren't worthy of gallery postings.

Now if I could just get bitemenavy's damn camera to work right, I'd scan in the large scale work! ARG!!

This was a very small sketch- probably around four or five inches long. So, lack of detail noted! I was also sitting on a couch, sketching this with a colored pencil while looking at books about Egon Schiele. Very odd artist, indeed!

If anyone is bored enough to wonder, these sketches are all done on the back of crappy printing paper. Which wouldn't be so bad if they weren't work scraps. It's good and scan through.

I like drawing Mikasi, really I do. But he doesn't make any SENSE. And I haven't come up with anything to MAKE his weird animalistic ass make sense. So, for now. I'll draw these guys. Who are based on my cats, actually.

Which means that Kalil looks way too nice, because that cat is a biyatch. But she can be loving when she wants.

Kulkis will be in this too. Though the composition I came up with makes NO SENSE AT ALL. I suppose it doesn't have to when it comes to eye catcher pics.

People love that chibi thing I did of Hiei and fox Kurama too much. I've gotten lots of requests to do more. So.. well. I did. And will. If for no other reason than the fact that that old fox chibi I did before is crap. And only has one tail. Which is so not youko.

That's a sweet rose bush. Dayum.

Fic inspired. I wonder if I should tell the person who wrote the fic about it. It's awesome. Though I don't think Hiei should be smiling. Ever. I'll fix that later. But for now. It's a cute sketch. BECAUSE I CAN.

I know I haven't updated in a while. I have been sketching here and there. Got distracted by computer death and then redeath last night. I'm going to be working 80 hours next week during a five day period. So I figure I'd better do this now or else I'll be too damn tired to do it later.

Excuses aside. I'm splitting this stuff up- sorry. Makes for easier tagging. Because tagging is fun. :D

Fun stuff for anthygirl's fic. Because I lurv her lots, and she rides my ass like a Nazi. Too bad she hasn't been around lately. No sketch for her!

I actually have been sketching quite a lot. Just not scanning or uploading stuff lately. It's all boring design stuff. SO! Until then.

My scanner SUCKS. Since everything I work on is bigger than a flatbed, it's really freaking annoying to scan things on it. I like working in at least 11x13. Sketches are on smaller paper.

Question time~~<3 Anyone know the bestest ways to scan and get pictures of good quality up? I always end up with really bad scans. <-- Lazy bastard~!

Chibi Hell

Last year I made a deal with distante. Or maybe more of a fun agreement. We were originally going to trade off line art so that the other can color it. That's where Invisible Tastes came from. I sent that off to her as a sort of christmasy gift.

Unfortunately, she's so busy right now I'm amazed she has time to go to the bathroom. ;-; So, no return art for me. But I said I would do a chibi of her main demoness character. So I am!

The only thing I can't decide now is if I want to make the background more complicated or not. The actual picture is quite a bit larger than this, the wings fit entirely and there are a couple of sad looking trees in the background on the sides. So, I'm thinking for the style I should leave it simple, but I'll fight with it later.

Perspective Blunders

I've had a sketch for this thing laying around for a long, long time. So, I finally started to try and do something with it. The only problem being that I'm crap at perspective. That's why I'm practicing, right?! RIGHT?!

Ugh. Anyone have any suggestions on how to make the arms look less... nubby?

Actually any suggestions would be good. Water damage, burning, trash compactor. Whatever. :O

I've uploaded icons to this thing, even though I'm not going to leave it a paid account due to that being a waste of money. BUT! I like looking at the little icons, anyway. Aren't they cute?

Which reminds me that the person who made these icons is an absolute GENIUS.

They mainly do Adult Swim, Inuyasha, FMA, Ghost in the Shell and Samurai Champloo icons though. BUT. If you like any of those... their work is LOVE.

I know it's sort of fudged up looking at it in pencil, but there's water there. Mmhmm. You've never seen water so badass in your life! It's chock full of awesome, is what it is.
